“Great character, great hospitality, delicious breakfast!” Saratoga, CA Winter 07

The Grey Whale Inn although very spacious, gives one the feeling of intimacy. With only 13 accommodations spread over three floors, a small craftsman dining area with lovely fireplace and lots of public areas spread throughout the Inn and gardens, it’s quiet, private and best of all just plain comfortable. No regal stuffiness here. It’s just good, old fashion Coast hospitality with a little Mendocino quirkiness thrown in. Like the fact that it started life as the community hospital! Today only its spaciousness and back entrance ramps hint at its former life.
